Steel Plate Waterstop BPA-CEMflex® VB is a steel plate waterstop coated with a patented special coating, which actively reacts with water when embedded in concrete to provide a watertight construction joint.
Steel Plate Waterstop BPA-CEMflex® VB functions as both an active and passive barrier to the transmission of water through non-movement joint (both horizontal and vertical), in reinforced concrete structures.
BPA-CEMflex® VB has been proven, through independent testing, to be effective at up to 8 bar (80m) water pressure. BPA-CEMflex® VB’s unique design makes it the safest, most cost-effective, and reliable waterstop available on the world-market.
Steel Plate Waterstop BPA-CEMflex® VB
BPA-CEMflex® VB elements are provided with a special coating on both sides. It is an active joint waterstop which provides the ultimate protection from water ingress throughout the lifetime of the concrete structure. BPA-CEMflex® VB comprises of a galvanised steel plate encapsulated in a special patented coating which reacts with alkaline water to provide a watertight joint.
The steel plate creates a physical barrier whilst the BPA-CEMflex® active coating reacts with the alkalinity of any water in the concrete to form Calcium Hydroxide (Free Lime) which supports the natural self-healing (sintering) process of the concrete to seal cracks and eliminate water ingress.
Unlike conventional crystallisation waterproofing the CEMflex® active process is a form of crystallisation that does not create and aggressive salts which could potentially have an adverse effect on the reinforcing steel which supports the concrete structure.

Permanent stop end formwork BPA-CEMflex® A is a result of an ongoing development process of the well tested and proven CEMflex® VB steel plate waterstop. The CEMflex® Technology has been successfully used in the market for many years. The CEMflex® A permanent stop end formwork is a simple adjustable formwork element with an effective waterproofing sealing behavior.
Sacrificial adjustable formwork BPA-CEMflex® A is a revolutionary new dual-purpose stop end formwork which doubles as a waterbar in non-movement joints. The BPA-CEMflex® A sacrificial formwork profiles are fully coated with the patented active crystalline BPA-CEMflex® coating. These easily adjustable waterproof shuttering elements are suitable for use as both horizontal and vertical sacrificial stopend formwork. Due to the active BPA-CEMflex® coating additional waterbar installation is not necessary.
The BPA-CEMflex® A sacrificial stop end formwork has been developed with the intention to offer a simple, flexibel and cost-effective stop end formwork solution which includes the joint waterproofing function.
